Description
This is an acrylic. It's only 5 X 7 inches. I wish I'd done it a little bigger but there's no giant demand for these kinds of images on big canvases amoungst most of the folks I know. Perhaps a demand for the activity depicted, but certainly no desire to advertise it on our living room walls for the love of Pete!!!It was very fun to do, or perhaps I should say it's fun to have it done. Feet, like hands, can be really difficult to draw, and then even harder to interpret from your drawing and paint in color. I'm really happy with how this little work turned out. I used transparent skin tones and built them up rather than working in solid fields and developing shading and highlights up and down from there. I usually do this with skin tones cause highlights applied to skin always look blue and cold to me. This way the whiteness of the illustration board can be employed in the highlights of the skin. It's way more work but what the hell. The work of us perfectionists is never done. If I finished the painting, I'd only end up straightening the silverware in the drawers or something equally as important.

Wow, this looks digital, almost photographic. How do you get it so detailed? Lots of hard work, I bet. Being a perfectionist has it' uses, it seems. Hooray for attention span!
Gorgeous, anyways

Perfectionists unite! This is a really great piece... I mean, feet are my least favorite body part. But this is just so well executed that I can't help but find them charming here. I also really like the background... this may be a totally out-of-the-ballpark interpretation, but that lighter area adds some intrigue and to me makes this more than just a painting of feet. Awesome work.

Thanks for the kind words. You're pretty damn good at what you do too! I want so much to do some non-flat art. I've got ideas burning holes in the pockets of my mind. And, I see from your (D.A. I.D.) credentials we share some sense and sensibilities on some other matters as well. Maybe you'll let me pick your brain for a little guidance sometime? Keep those shoes and socks on and up the good work. Yours Perfectionistically, David D. Koloc

You've got lovely colors in this one. Feet are hard to draw, but you did awesome in this.
I can't believe your stuff is acrylic. It looks photographic, or digital. Perhaps the only thing that bothers me in this picture are the right foots toes, and the shape of the leg in the back...
Perhaps also the plasticness of the skin.
Anyway, awesome, as always.
