Romantic night with a nice vieew~ This is my first ych commission. I hope I'm doing this right
Please read the whole description before bidding!
Gender of characters can be changed, proportions cannot! The final look of the animation will depend on the winning bid at the end. Complicated characters (eg. with a lot of detail) will be simplified (will be negotiated with the winner). Payment via paypal.SB: €150
AB: €400
Minimum increase: €2
If the winning bid is €150 - 230 : lineart only
If the winning bid is €231 - 290: lineart + flat colours
If the winning bid is €291 - 400: coloured + shaded
If AB'd or + 400: coloured + shaded + Background!
If you win
- I will send you the gif image
- you can expect the animation to be done within two months
AUCTION ENDS MARCH 10th, 18:00 gmt+1. If AB'd before february 10th I'll try to finish the whole thing before valentines day!

Would be nice to have such a gif... the only problem would be that one character is allready done, but one is missing (not visual created yet)
But if this wouldn´t be a problem, I would totaly want to buy such a gif!

Duuude, dit is super goed like whoaaaa *v* Ik kan niet wachten tot het eindresultaat!
Also, een tip: Maak een comment met "bid here" en pin het bovenaan (als je dat kan, idk hoe dat moet xD) zodat mensen 1 post hebben waar ze kunnen checken hoe hoog er al geboden is enzo :) Dan hoeven ze niet alle comments door te spitten om te kijken of er iets is :'D
En verder, let niet op die gozer hiervoor want clearly snapt ie het niet xD Mensen die een probleem hebben met YCHs moeten er ook niet op klikken imo. Duidelijk is het concept van een YCH niet aan hen besteedt, maar dan moeten ze niet de mensen die het aanbieden gaan lastig vallen :T

What I'm saying is that buying this is the exact same as using a base, except your buying it for real money. You can't buy talent. Unless I have the wrong idea about this piece, but I don't.

Well sure, it's a 'your character here' offer, so you could compare it to using a base, I guess? The difference however is that I didn't rip this base from somewhere. I made this 'base' myself (as I assume all ych commissions are) and am offering to animate someone's characters. This base will only be used for the person who gets the eventual animation, and will not be copied as is the case with most bases ^^

I get it. But there are just problems with this system that just make it unnecessary.

DirtyMemester I don't think you understand how much time and effort it costs to make a small animation like this. You have to sketch the draft, do the lineart, color it + animate it (it is not a still drawing/illustration) which can take hours especially if you animate everything by yourself. I think the problem in this system is that people like you somehow think that artists shouldn't ask money for their art and should do everything for free. It seems like you don't think that being an artist is a serious profession. Do you think that artists that work for Disney should not be paid too? I mean, they do a lot of research, make thousands of sketches, work hours and hours to finish a 5 second animation, put effort and time in their animations for years and years and meanwhile they do have bills to pay or the college funds for their kids. Isn't it normal to pay people for their effort/time/skill? Like paying a doctor for taking care of your health, the window cleaner for cleaning your windows etc.? If you think Dadha is doing something wrong here, it is clear that you are the problem with this system.

People aren't buying the base to use for themselves, they're commissioning the artist to animate their characters in the pose. I think you're confusing it for a base?? Great job dadha btw, and good luck!!

I wouldn't describe it as buying your way into good art, this is almost like a commission (?)
People who do not have enough skill level to draw or animate their own characters might want to buy this, either for themselves or for their friends.
But many artists of all skill levels buy commissions/ych's because they simply want to, they may enjoy having their character drawn in someone else's style rather than their own
Also buying art will help the artist as it benefits the buyer, because art is not only a hobby but a job for some too, it's a nice feeling to get compensated for doing what you enjoy ^^
