Description With things settling down after the move, I've had time to rummage through my remaining boxes. I finally managed to find where I packed my inspiration, huzzah! Now I can get rid of that clumsy art block and get back to drawing.

But don't worry, the art block still has it's place. Such as in button and cube based test chambers, blocking bullets as deftly as it blocks creativity. (Yes, I have been playing Portal 2. No I am not addicted... much) Hence, a little bit of Portal related Fanart to commemorate the event. And hey, Altalamatox's Tom has even managed to find his way into the mix. Although I get the impression that Tom doesn't exactly agree with Glados' particular brand of science.

Aside from all that, we have a decent selection of robots, mechanized suits, scenes, locations, and a few musings related to Mangakawa's AfterRealm universe. Oh, and not to mention lots of Josie. Ever since her last pic involving the aforementioned Tom, she's been enjoying some much needed attention.

Hnnnggg - I can never stop envying how seemingly effortless you do those small but believable backgrounds with perspectives...

But yay! Lotsa Josie! And I totally want her apartment! :3

I don't play Portal, but I've seen enough vids to get an idea. Hehehe. Oh, Glados. She might have liked Tom, but whether Tom gets along with her might be an entirely different story.

Looking nice and sharp, these sketches! Glad to see the grove is coming back a bit!

Glad you enjoyed this!

Those perspectives just take practice for the most part, and a bit of attention paid to the vanishing points is all.

Aaah, dude, firstly you have serious skill in the realms of perspective, geometry, and giving things realistic bulk. You've got this great handle on how shapes wrap around each other and it's just fantastic to see some art with a meaty third dimension to it. Also (while I'm laying it on), have you ever done hand-drawn animation by any chance? Your actions poses are uncommonly believable.

Secondly, Josie continues to be way cool. Thank you thank you thank you for making a female action character who doesn't run around in less than you'd wear to the beach let alone a fight and mysteriously have killer fighting skills despite apparently spending all her time sprawling backwards over tables in nine inch stilettos with her mouth open. [/nerve] I love the way you handle her hair as well, gives her a very recognizable silhouette. I couldn't begin to imagine taking care of three feet of hair. XD

Oh my, poor Thomas is as in the dark to Portal as his creator. XD I know Glados a bit, the heart boxes that have sprung up across the web in the last couple months I've yet to educate myself on so I shall join Tom in pondering the meaning of The Cube. (: Either waaay, haha! Man, thanks for letting my fellow into your drawing time once again, you really are an amazing hand at him, I love it! He looks so at home in this sketch dump, I'm sure he's fiercely enjoying the novelty of being in the company of more machines than silly squishy biological things as he's always sandwiched between in my own doodles.
Thank you again! <3

And those wouldn't happen to be aberrational ghost monsters at bottom, would they?

Ack! My apologies for this ridiculously late reply. >_<

I'm glad that you approve of my bit of nonsense involving Tom. He's just such a blast to draw! And then Glados somehow popped into my brain and the two were off on a tour of the Aperture labs before I knew what was happening. I just couldn't help but draw it.

Josie; It's kind of funny, but she happens to the oldest of all my OC's. (She also happens to be my favourite.) And agreed, one hundred and ten percent! I can't stand characters that exist solely as a piece of eye-candy, often with some tacked on personality as an afterthought and a paper thin story to back it up... Ugh. So uh, your welcome for my having not done that.

I know exactly what you mean about Josie's hair though... it is long, as in really damn long! But I'm afraid to mess with it too much. But maybe shortening the ponytail won't bugger up her overall look too much?

As per your question about whether or not I've tried animation. The answer is no, I have not. Not yet at least, but it is something I very much would like to try.

Oh, and yes. Those creatures at the very bottom there are aberrations. The left one is some sort of a cross between a millipede and an angler fish. The one on the right is more or less a spider, pumped full of magic to near the point of combustion. (A delectable little idea that Diana-hnd came up with I might add.)
