The core of any outbreak of Deception, it is the largest concentration of it taking the form of a huge vascular and pulsating black sludgy mass. Much like a node, the nexus is much bigger and has more to defend itself such as large tentacles and the main creature that is the heart of the network. This creature bares similarities to the Hivemind Necromorph in the first Dead Space, the creature also has makes the same sounds. But is much smaller in scale but has more of less the same design of its head and body, killing this creature is key to killing the nexus and further stopping the spread of a Deception outbreak. On death all nodes and all concentrations of it will die and melt away as will the Dark Necromorphs that it birthed.
