Finished my secret santa picture for !! I got who has such an amazing fursona design sdlkjldkjfs <33Happy Holidays ~Lycisca !
I played with the anatomy a bit and made it more feline. x3 I wanted it to look soft and flowy. And I wanted to do another foggy teal/blue picture. c:

Oh my gosh Dae this is simply amazing!
First off, your anatomy skills are spot on. I see no errors whatsoever. You can draw practically ANYTHING in any pose! The shading is gorgeous, you really have a awesome eye for seeing where light hits and how to properly display it! And look at that rock oh my lord so amazing! Ugg Dae you blow me away every single time I see your work x__x <3
But what really drew me in about this picture was the eyes. I mean, look at the shine! 8DD And they have that amazing glow affect I've always wanted to show when I draw, but I have never been able to pull it off! <3 They really bring the picture to life!
I could ramble a lot more but I'm sure you have read enough already and are board of this xDD

when drawing the character, how are you able to draw them in different poses and angles without destroying their anatomy?
i'm always hearing people tell me to use reference pictures, but half the time it's almost impossible to find the right reference of the desired pose or angle (especially if the animal is a hyena). i'm sick of drawing characters in the same position over and over again.

I wish I had a good answer for you. Dx Some people use perspective grids to map out perspective before drawing in the subjects, but I really just eyeball it. I've practiced basic anatomy enough to where I can warp it into different perspectives without too much trouble.
I used to be really uptight about getting anatomy perfect, and all of my pictures were reffed from photos. But I realized that doing that is way too narrow. I'd suggest learning how to simplufy anatomy down to the point where you can easily warp it.
