Description
Dororo, or another great series by Osamu Tezuka-sama.Hyakkimaru is a boy in an artificial body, fighting with demons to get a part of his human body everytime he kills one; Dororo is a cute thief brat dealing with the troubles of poverty and famine: they got together, supporting each other, until Hyakkimaru could finally get his whole body back.
At first I wanted to put some scary shadow in the background, then I gave up 'cause I preferred the picture like this ^_^

I really like the picture but watching the anime, he still has his "elbow joint " The blade would actually be his forearm..not the upper arm.

I love Dororo! I find it so sad that hardly any of my friends read Tezuka's manga. Dororo is one of my all time favorite classics!

I really love the anatomy on Hyakkimaru. His knees look perfectly Hyakki! Also, the muscle amd bone definition on his shoulder and chest look very natural and are very well done.

The only complaint here is that Dororo doesn't look effeminate enough...if you read the original manga all the way to the last volume, then you'll know why. Other than that, you do Tezuka-sama's artwork justice here with that quality.
And yes, an American company by the name of Vertical has released it, but in three volumes. I know this because I read all three, and am now reading Osamu Tezuka's "Black Jack", his medical drama that is more popular among adults and is his 3rd most popular title character.

Dororo doesn't look effeminate AT ALL. Before the final revelation you just believe that he's a kickass kid.

And some people were disturbed that it would turn out to be a shota ai...until the last volume. Then again, Pinoko, aside from the fact that she is wearing bowties, doesn't look too effeminate.

Well, Pinoko looks like a girl. Dororo just doesn't. It's obvious that Tezuka turned him into a girl in extremis.

Still, it makes you wonder how Dororo would look in the future when she grows up doesn't it? For me, I kinda have the image of a sort of Akane Tendo-type of look for her.

Originariamente Γ¨ stato un manga, poi un tribolatissimo anime (l'hanno dovuto produrre in bianco e nero per mancanza di soldi ^_^; ), e recentemente ne hanno fatto un videogioco e un film :3
