Therapeutic painting no.2: Lieutenant Commander Dr. Hugh Culber and Lieutenant Paul Stamets from Star Trek - Discovery. Externally the perfect Yin Yang combination. I'm curious if this will also be the case on the emotional layer.(There will be a day when I don't paint Anthony Rapp - but it is not this day

Yup, that was what I was hoping for. I painted this one before the beginning of the series only with the knowledge of those two being in a relationship and an interview of Wilson Cruz and Anthony Rapp as reference. And I'm very happy, that the concept works just perfectly!

Ich freu mich so, dass Dir das Bild gefällt. Während ich die beiden gemalt habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass sie vom Äußeren her einen perfekten Kontrast bilden: Culber mit seiner braunen Haut, dem schwarzen Haar und der blütenweisen Uniform gegen Stamets mit seinem bleichen Aussehen und der dunklen Uniform. Da kam die Assoziation mit dem Yin und Yang Kreis automatisch.
Ich wollte anfangs die Köpfe der beiden als Innenkreise verwenden, aber das sah ... etwas ... merkwürdigt aus
Ich bin auch sehr froh über die Farbe der Uniformen. Das hat mir bei ENT schon sehr gefallen. Diese Farbe ist zum Malen einfach schön.

He's such a wonderful person. Always there for the fans, always trying to reason with the hate-Discovery, hate-gays, hate-whatever posts. Somebody like him in politics and this planet would be a much better place!
