Description
A sketch created mainly for the purpose of practicing lighting turned out to look quite ok, so I ended up finishing it. I had loads of fun painting this one and it went along rather smoothly, too

Looks quite nice overall. I especially like it from about the pelvis up, and the window behind her is magnificent all around. The portion of it that doesn't seem as nice as the rest of the piece is her feet. I am not particularly fond of her hands either, but they work out allright.
The feet don't look like they sit quite right on the branch, perhaps a matter of angle at which they were drawn. She also does not appear to have any form of a cast shadow on the branch, which seperates her from it rather than grounding her to it.

Thank you for sharing the screen shots of the process. It makes one appreciate the work even more. The result is beautiful, great lines and colors, just a beautiful piece. I wish I could draw and paint from scratch like that.

ok i love this picture overall but if they are welcome - they are... here comes critique:
bad:
hair - great hairdo and great color but the feeling of it being hair is missing. Maybe a few diferent shades would help together with some single hairs drawn (i see you've drawn some, and thats good, but some more wouldnt hurt)
eyebrows - placement and size. if you shortened them a bit by taking just alittle bit at the thicker part it'd help for both size and placement as i belive they're too close to eachother.
her right foot - (the, from here seen, left) it just kind of smudge into the wood she's sitting on, try shadowing the lines just a bit.
genital area - lack of details, it just kind of blurs into the nothingness, and it looks strange as all the other stuff are pretty clean.
good:
face dynamics - the strongly marked cheek feels wild-ish and fits to this 'creature's' name, predator.
lace suit - clean and detailed pattern! thats not everyone's knowing to do! 
background - detailed and licely colored with a feeling of that the mosaik is supposed to be butterfly wings, the color-scale fits with the rest...
wings/feathers - not many could ever come close to what you've done here, you really get the feeling of light and soft, but dirtned feathers in those wings, great job!

Wonderful, fierce expression. Love the colors in the background and how they reflect ever-so subtley on her skin and wings.

Very beautiful. All the colors are really nice; the blue lighting is especially pretty with all the other dark colors. I really do like the pattern of the stained glass and her lace, and her feathers look so very soft.
