Nothing in this image was planned. What is this place even supposed to be? I pretty much forced myself to draw a random setting and add ponies to it. It turned out to be some sort of modern city environment. With Lyra and Bon Bon. And Lyra is sad or something.Even the perspective was not really constructed properly, so I can only hope I eyed it right. It's pretty close to isometric, so the vanishing points are all miles away, which would make it hard to draw out anyway.

This should've been it. The day, of which she'd always dreamed.
The only thing she had not planned for in her excitement at the chance to study humans, a race capable of technological feats unfathomable with magic, a civilization at the peak of its time, to observe its society and customs first-hoof...
The one thing, that one, single, most crucial element Lyra Heartstrings had not taken into consideration... had been the humans themselves.
The clip-clop of hooves against the office building's hard concrete signaled the cream-colored mare's approach to Lyra. The unicorn clenched her teeth, her eyes shut. She couldn't deal with this right now.
"Is this when you tell me 'I told you so?'" Lyra huffed. "'cause I'm really not in the mood for it."
The hoof-steps grew closer. The mint-green mare turned her head the other way.
"I can't say I've forgiven you for dragging me into this mess", Bonbon began, sternly.
"But..." she sighed in defeat, continuing in a softer tone. "I can see that this is even worse for you than it is for me."
A warm hoof came to rest on Lyra's left shoulder. Lyra looked up at to see Bonbon's sincere smile.
"And I wouldn't be a very good friend if I didn't help somepony in a time of need, now would I?"
Lyra hesitantly returned the smile.

My apologies, however I am already preoccupied in writing a meta-mystery adventure novel exploring the abilities of Pinkie Pie - without Pinkie Pie being present, and told from the perspective of Rainbow Dash finding herself trapped inside a Daring Do book. [link]
In addition, I am chronicling the lighthearted tale of Mirror Pinkie having her "fun" at a traveling circus, and the life lessons she learns along the ride. (work in progress, as of yet unpublished)
