WHEW. Know how I said I must be insane to consider doing a cover mashup of FF #236? Well, I did it. My fingers are sore and my eyeballs strained, but it's done.This was done as a commission for a visitor to my DA gallery. His thing is having artists do multi-publisher mashup pieces of all sorts (including classic cover recreations, right up my alley!).
I suggested FF 236, as I could showcase the most characters that way.

The positioning was already set from the original FF 236 cover (mostly), but dang, the figures started getting really little for inking!

Good Lord, man. What an epic piece of artwork! I think what I admire the most is that this probably gave you a bit of a challenge to do, with so many characters, but you pulled it off wonderfully. Also, the sort of "Kirby crackle" effect of Phoenix's energy coming from her hand is a nice touch.
