This is a recreation of DC's Millenium #1, featuring a new set of characters.I have a patron who likes to have artists do re-creations of classic group shots or figure-dense covers, but using a large pool of his favorite characters. He presents a small selection of originals to re-do, and about 250 pages of characters from all over the superhero spectrum.
I'll then suggest a layout or use one he likes, and pick a bunch of 'replacement' characters from his pool. We'll go back and forth a little on specifics, and then I get going.
Unlike one of the other recreations I do where I try to match the inks of the original as closely as possible, for these I use my "own" style.

agreed, I had the toy some years later after it had become a collector's item but I eventually traded it off. but I still have the entire series including just about all the tie-ins. over the years I've done quite a bit of ROM fan art usually featuring him with other Marvel characters have a peak csuhsux.deviantart.com/gallery…

Chris, As much as I like your straight up cover recreations, I enjoy your own style better. I little unhappy on how far back Nova is ,but just the same, this is incredible! One of your best sir! I will be in touch early 2015 for one of my own!!!

Believe it or not, I already have a recreation of that one done by Chris Marrinan who did most of the art on Nova V2. I'm sure yours would be total recreation of #12 by Romita, one of my favorites from the V1 series. I may have you do something more original for me. Might even go outside the Nova box! LOL!

Haha, this is great! I love it. I spot my favorite Captain Marvel(Monica) as well as Nightman, and my boy Rom, amongst many others. Was on the look out for Nexus or Badger. Maybe I missed them.
