oh I'm so loving this page. Like always, the acting is superb and I'm still trying to get my hatching to be as well thought out and pristine. Did you ever do a value sketch before rendering or do you just go into it full bore?

Before I start each panel, it's just the contour lines and then I sketch in a few rough pencil hatches in where I know I'm going to want to put shadows. Then I just kind of start building them up.

The funny thing is that this guy's not really that dense, it's that his partner typically gets *that* drunk. (although, one would think the zombie-beer-barf on the sheets in the shape of a skull would be a giveaway that something isn't kosher....
