Description
Here's another EC-inspired piece of gift art for my wife's family (her mom). Luckily they get tongue-in-cheek macabre humor in her family. Her mom's highly involved in a fairly famous So. Cal choral group, hence the connection in this piece.Even so, I had to tone down what I was going to do with the zombies to make them a little less freaky. I.E. no pieces of face falling off, etc.
This is part of the MIL's xmas present, so don't tell her!

Thanks! This one nearly drew itself after doing all those sketch card likenesses...

Always a good thing when you don't need to fight the pencil and paper.

THIS IS SO FUNNY. IT REMINDS ME OF PETER GRIFFEN TRYING TO DIRECT A CHORAL GROUP MADE UP OF SAND PEOPLE FROM TATOOINE.

I can't imagine how you could do better but I understand the pursuit.

An uncanny resemblance to EC comic covers. Love that inking.

Thanks! The EC trade dress is pretty simple (logos, lettering, etc), and it takes up 1/3 of the page, cutting out lots of work.
I was pretty happy with the inking myself.. I'd never drawn a zombie, a mummy, or a werewolf before and was pleased how they came out when I just kind of 'let myself go' with the hatching.
