Age of Dragon

Inner Magic - type of magic, that primarily uses caster's magic gift and energy to manifest (contrary to outer magic, that uses rituals, prayers and/or mystic items to borrow the power of spiritual beings - unlike inner magic, outer magic can be learned by anyone). It can be easily (more or less) modified by caster on spot, but is still limited by caster's abilities (careless (or desperate) caster can easily "cast himself to death"). Traditionally, it is divided into ten "schools".

Salis (Body) - traditionally associated with healing, but also can deal death in quite gruesome way.

Ignis (Fire) - most known for it's destructive capability, but really can save one's life during harsh winter.

Terra (Earth) - power of soil, stone and plants.

Aqua (Water) - cold streams, poisonous swamps and mighty ocean - as well as, well, merciless snowy plains of far north.

Sulfur (Mind) - thoughts, emotions, nerve system.

Aer (Air) - wind and thunder. Lightning bolt is most notorious death-dealing spell of this school, however, it has some other ways as well... Also, flying.

Mercuria (Spirit) - deals with person's spirit and soul... And, while it can't resurrect fallen comrade, it still can hold his in place before help arrives.

Celestia (Positive) - spark of creation, heavenly light... Often it is associated with the power of saints.

Nether (Negative) - death, undeath and complete darkness... It does not require to be evil to wield this power, but in people's minds it is often associated with it.

Primigenius (Primal) - wielding pure aetherial energies
