Real geo. It has about 40 million polygons.

You can get these numbers in HD geometry mode. That way you can only sculpt one portion of the dragon at a time. So, I would enter HD and sculpt head, then neck, then front limbs, torso, wings etc.

Yes, you translate that data via displacement and normal maps onto low res mesh and can use it in video games, animations, whatever.

Yes, that's the one. It took about 2 weeks or so to create the dragon.
