Description
Another piece of my Lovecraft series, based on the story "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". It uses an adjusted version of the Shoggoth model I made which I used in my Shoggoth piece [link]I now also rigged the model so I might be able to animate it for future use.
This is a combination of photomanipulation and 3d modelling/rendering.

I may just not understand it, but when I read that story I heard no reference to a shoggoth, though I may just think of another story. I do remember something about an amorphous king, but he was described among clouds and I don't think shoggoths can fly (without evolving wings ofcourse).

First . . . I'm going to wait for a clear, sunny day. Then I'm going to blow up the town, preferebly with everyone still in it.

Ah yes, but some of us have already spread out from the town, e.g. to go and study at the Miskatonic University. We are doing excellenty on the swimming team.

Any luck getting into the restricted sections of the library? I hear they've got original copies of the Necronomicon as well as vintage playboy

If you do choose to study in the library, then do ensure that you sit with a clear plan of your exit route, and do not annoy or irk the librarian.
If you do sense anyone reading over your shoulder, think of it as the politest and safest route to simply allow them to do so. Also, do not get caught eating snacks, knitting, fidgeting or indulging in any behaviour likely to attract attention.

It reminds me more of his revision of Sonia H. Greene's 'The Horror at Martin's Beach', but I can see the Innsmouth vibe too.
