Description
Another piece of my Lovecraft series, based on the story "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". It uses an adjusted version of the Shoggoth model I made which I used in my Shoggoth piece [link]I now also rigged the model so I might be able to animate it for future use.
This is a combination of photomanipulation and 3d modelling/rendering.
To see the steps it took to make this image, check this out [link]

I'm afraid I can't answer that because because I don't really feel that way, but I guess that's my way to try to keep improving.

good job capturing the flavour of Lovecraft, and an all-around beautiful painting as well!

well.. examining took me some time (i see shit actually). well.. at first glimpse i had a lot of doubt if the buildings are set straight at last (yes yes) and if the lights on the ground are suitable, but after more careful look i smell i wasn't right. the perspective u chose (positioning of the waterside) is splendid, the clouds and smoke is as realistic as it should be. overall is simply yummy. and damn, u changed the tones into greenish!

This is creepy on it's own, I can't imagine what you would do with it rigged and animateable
Seriously though, this is a great piece. One of my favorites you've done. The photomanipulation and 3d integration is PERFECTLY done. You can't see any irregularities at all.
You are the master of your domain, my friend.

You got it bro. whats sad is most manipulators do not use their own photography, they would become better I think, yea it takes more time, but the satisfaction of it is so rewarding, hell bro. I could download stock and produce pieces everday if I chose, but I think to call it your own you have to take the pictures, hey bro. I still shoot film, polaroid at that,am old school,haha....you and swampy or the only ones I know personally so to speak who do their own photography.
