Description
Another piece of my Lovecraft series, based on the story "The Shadow Over Innsmouth". It uses an adjusted version of the Shoggoth model I made which I used in my Shoggoth piece [link]I now also rigged the model so I might be able to animate it for future use.
This is a combination of photomanipulation and 3d modelling/rendering.

Incredible work! I'm currently in the preproduction phase of making a short film inspired by this story as well as "Dagon." This piece has definitely captured the essence of Lovecraft's writing.

I was in a coastal region at a time when I was reading Lovecraft and thus "The Shadow Over Innsmouth."
One night I saw a cloud that looked exactly like the one pictured in your photo.
It was very large, looked like a mountain, like Devil Reef was rising to the heavens.\

Found your Cthulhu with the search option, then checked your main page and found this one, it's an excellent work, I'm a great fan of Lovecraft myself, and have all his stories as well as the RPG, The Shadow Over Innsmouth is one of my favorites together with At the Mountains of Madness.
Now I just have to check your whole gallery, honestly, all your works look amazing, no matter what's the subject.

Well I've been playing with the ground area a lot and also the foggy cloudstuff, for me it looked better but well taste is always a personal thing I'm afraid.
