awesome photo... it speaks to me - whenever i go on trip to san francisco i see those things and they remind me of giraffes. and in this photo, giraffes congregating. hah.. rainy gray days are nice too.
i just like how it's a photo of something so random... i don't see many photos of these cranes, but they are so interesting. i like that you picked a great subject like this.

This seriously has to be one of the coolest photographs on deviantART. The way you've captured it is just so awesomely beautiful, I'm stunned by the grandeur of it all. Seriously, I don't even know what to say, it kicks so much ass. If it weren't already a daily deviation I would've nominated it in a snap. The tones are just gorgeous and... and I don't even know how else to describe how awesome this is! Overall you have just put up one hell of a picture, and I love it. Well done on a magnificent job

It reminds me of those pictures you see of workers sitting along a beam way up high in the air having lunch haha. The cranes are all just having a chat and some lunch on their break...

first off...congratulations on the daily deviation...second I had to comment because of a sililar fascination with heavy machinery.
There's a lift and crane rental place along side the highway, with bulldozers and machines all over these two pastures. There's even a island with a fountain where one sits.
Everytime i pass by I feel like I'm watching prehistoric beasts socialize...it's fascinating, like you said.

When viewed from a distance, this picture seems to be razor-taloned hands reaching up from the earth. I like the fog and the fact that some fog is visible in front of the cranes (which must mean they are *really* huge!) And yet, I wonder: what are these five old geezers doing standing around like that?
