yes hello, it is i, with more miraculous ladybug artHeadcanon: Even though the chance is fairly high, I like to think that Gabriel isn’t Hawkmoth and that the peacock miraculous user wasn’t his wife, but instead him. For whatever reason, whether due to his wife’s disappearance or wanting to make sure his son doesn’t lose his remaining parent, he ended up retiring his superhero persona.
In the future, this setup could possibly lead to Gabriel taking up his mantle again once he realizes Chat Noir is his son during some dangerous situation. There could even be an eventual confrontation between him and Hawkmoth, since Hawkmoth has some sort of connection to his wife. There’s so much story potential :y

oh oh, you just gave me a thought. what is gabe left the miraculous because after adrien's mother left, he thought he should be with his son more often. but the plan failed after getting some bad news with his job, and becoming distant just happened. so now that his plan failed, he's trying to protect his son from hawkmoth, who might of been boiling with anger at the bottom of the sea -and who he might of know of already-, and is keeping him from others to make sure he doesn't get upset or angry. cause maybe he had a hawkmoth when he was a child, and he watched the hero slowly become a monster then disappear. or maybe his mother or father did. idk, i'm just thinking stupidity

I love the fancy hat and the beak so much! Like, the overall appearance is so different from the established outfits but it makes sense for the peacock hero to be so flashy, love it!

This renews hope that he is not Hawkmoth. I mean the amounts of hints they are dropping it seems to obvious for him to be Hawkmoth.

You have read my mind. My headcanon is that Gabriel has lost his brother/sister in army (the holder bee miraculous) so he rejected his power.
When he has to save his son he decided to use again his miraculous and I have imagined the meeting with his kawaii.

Gabriel: Watch your mouth. I just don't want to lose someone else!

I agree with you. I also had a fun idea that a thief(possibly of the Lupin family) steals the miraculous and becomes Peafowl(working name, If you have a better idea I'd like to hear it).

you never ACTUALLY see him go into his observatory and "miraculous up". My money's on brother, that could be why Hawkmoth has the same voice

That's true! The closest thing we got to that was the beginning scene in origins pt 1. I was also thinking it could be a sibling (or possibly even an old rival of his since Hawkmoth had a picture of Mrs. Agreste). Their face shapes are also slightly different, so there's a chance that they won't be the same person!
