How did you get the details pane at the bottom of file explorer to match the dark theme? In my attempts it's always in light mode even while using the dark theme.

Just reload the theme. Unfortunately it doesn't stay that way. The OldNewExplorer overwrites it as soon as I restart the machine.
Edit: Googled it and found a solution for this: You can hide it pressing Shift+Alt+P while in explorer window.
