Ja'vonte and Ja'lisa Taylor were two sisters were sensei's at their own dojo in Metro City. In addition to being the best martial arts instructors in town, they had just begun a covert program to train an elite female squad from the police department. Their work was already bearing fruit, as these highly trained female officers had been coming down hard on the criminal elements in the city. One of the groups bearing the brunt of the squad's efforts were Purple Vixen's LILAC's. Several of the purple-clad villainess' schemes had been broken up by the new squad.

Purple Vixen decided it was time to do something about this new threat to her solvency. She sent two of her own highly trained martial artists to take down the sisters and nip the new squad in the bud. This was the day they were going to strike.

Ja'lisa was practicing her katas in the dojo early one morning. It was a quiet time to be alone before her students arrived. She cherished it. Little did she know that danger was coming with the rising sun.
