"HRRGG…" the monstrosity known as Weapon Omega growled.

"It's okay!" the superheroine assured him. "It's going great. Just keep it up: knit one, purl two. Knit one, purl two…"

"RRRGG!!" Omega rumbled.

"You're getting it!" Duster said. "Soon you'll have a nice scarf for winter. Once you feel comfortable with making scarves, you can move on to more complex patterns. A hat would be a good project to work up to."

"RRRMMM!!" Omega snarled approvingly.

Agent Johnson let out a long sigh. "Was there anything in Corporal Stevens' file that indicated a predilection for knitting?" he asked Doctor Orlov, referring to Weapon Omega's pre-treatment name.

"Er, no…" the academic muttered. "Though he was raised by his maternal grandmother. Perhaps she…"

"How did Duster know?"

Orlov shrugged. "Lucky guess? Google search? Damned if I know…"

"RRARRGHH?" Omega grunted.

"A sweater?" Duster said. "Sure, eventually… but you gotta walk before you can run. And you'll need a lot more wool!" she added, giving her new friend a playful punch in his massive shoulder as she giggled.

"HRR HRR HRR!!" Omega laughed, then turned his attention back to his knitting.
