It was a real pea souper tonight. One where one couldn't even see their hand in front of their face.
Well, Alison Blaire could as hers glowed and formed a search light. But the fog was so thick the beam couldn't pierce it.
Susan Richards decided to make as much of it as she could invisible. With the vapor seemingly gone they could see the tombstones scattered about. It reminded them both of a set from one of those old horror movies.
Ali was tempted to make a crack about Igor digging up a body for Baron Frankenstein but thought better of it. Now was not the time to crack wise.
The Invisible Woman placed her hand on Dazzler's shoulder. "Let's get started."
Ali nodded. "Okay, sponge. Start soaking."
And THAT was the only joke she planned to make.
Ali closed her eyes and focused. It was already quiet in the old cemetery. But now it was eerily quiet. At least it was to Sue. She couldn't even hear herself breathe.
Sue knew that Dazzler was now in full sound absorption mode. Normally the mutant girl could draw in noise and people around her could still hear it. But if she concentrated she'd create a zone of silence around herself and the immediate area. No one in the area could hear anything. But Dazzler could hear everything.
EVERYthing.
From an insect's footsteps on up. If it made a sound she'd hear it. Thanks to the teachings of Professor X, Dazzler was pretty darn close to being a female version of DareDevil. At least as far as the audio senses were concerned.
Despite herself Sue was startled when Ali spoke. Her voice was the only thing that could be heard in Dazzler's zone of silence.
Ali pointed and said, "That way."
