Description Palette #8 from palette challenge .
For one friend of mine, who was very close to me but went away. Anyway I finished it.

Jumped a bit over my head here, didn't manage to make it as good as I wanted but still I'm rather satisfied. Oh, how long I wanted to paint Tony and the Iron Man suit! And not just a sketch like I do usually, but a full painting. I guess she could have requested Tony because wanted me to draw something for myself, finally O_o

Palette is so great, my favourite to work with so far, I didn't even feel any limitations. And the painting went pretty easy, despite it's complicated for my level as it is.

Oh? Well, maybe because of the limited palette and strange ice rocks at the background I'm not really into surrealism.

I'm not sure exactly...or may be the shadoves, or smooth surfices without outstanding texture, or it may be the whole dream-like fantasy scene. It's really amospheric.

Surreallisom also isn't my cup of tea. I definitey prefer realism or semi realism.

This is beautifully done! I can't imagine how long this must have taken you to complete!

Thank you very much!
Not so long, really, two weeks, and I wasn't working on it every day (well, I spent one full weekend on it, but the rest of the time I was painting 1-2 hours a day or wasn't at all). I didn't really keep track but I estimate up to 20 hours maximum.

looks like Stark made (or is about to make) a choice which will decide the fate of worlds.   ("who better?" he may ask, "okay, besides Pepper.")

an excellent image.

Loki looks like he's there either as an advisor/warner, or just to witness what Stark does.

The original story behind the painting was that Tony somehow got lost in Jotunheim (maybe some GPS portal glitches, I don't know, heh), his suit ran out of power, so he just stands hopelessly there not knowing he is not alone. Loki is perhaps more likely to take him prisoner (as an invader), but isn't going to do him any real harm.

But when my friend left, it got the other meaning for me, something like Loki disappeared and Tony came to Jotunheim looking for him, but can't find him anywhere. And he doesn't know that Loki is there as a shadow all the time, he just doesn't want to show himself to Tony. But seeing Tony so sad he starts to think whether he should come and comfort him.

But I like your story, too! Guess Stark had made a lot of such choices... take Ultron ))
Thank you!

Yeah, it's really an easter egg from Frozen (I guess, as my friend used that line to describe Jotunheim before I heard that song)
Thanks!
