Here's my take on a narrow gauge engine that really needs to return and be redeemed, Smudger.Related content

In my headcanon, 2 Locomotives we're sent to the Mid Sodor Railway to replace Stanley on the rails, Those locomotives were Rylan and Smudger, Rylan was added the number 0 while Smudger was added the number 2, Rylan tried his younger brother Smudger to behave, but Smudger refused to take advice from his big Brother and Duke, so he constantly Derailed, the workers decided Smudger to be turn into a Generator, so they did, Stanley was relocated to Cas-ny-Hawin so there would be space for Smudger to be a generator, Stanley, being a pumping engine, pumped out water from the mines, but StanleyΒ worn-out and broke down, Causing the mines to flood, the Mid Sodor Railway closed, the only Engines that survived the flood were Rylan, Duke, Falcon, Stuart and Bertram.
After that, Rylan, Falcon and Stuart were bought to work on the Skarloey Railway, Duke and Bertram got lost, Duke was then found again on his shed and he was bought too, Rylan, on the Skarloey Railway, Was clumsy and caused trouble, The Controller couldn't take this so he always got angry with Rylan, One Night, Rylan had to work at the night near the bridge, The Controller said to Rylan that after those jobs he was going to withdrawn him and send him for scrap, Rylan feeled Depressed, Angry and Embarrased, When Rylan finished all the jobs, the passed thought the bridge to go back home but some demons started to control him and then Rylan lost control and derailed off the bridge, falling into a ravine, Rylan was never found again, But after the demons took control of him, now the Ghost of Rylan haunts the island.
