Would you mind telling me what kind of brush and brush settings,if any, did you use to do this? And did you use the same one on the entire picture?

it's nice to be able to see how this is done, and i understand how to do alot of this even though my execution may not be quite as clean. what i don't understand is how anyone is able to create something so beautifully detailed in just 2 or three hours. it would take me ten hours to replicate this level of work. i seriously feel like i'm missing some huge beneficial aspect of digital coloring!!

guauu!, really love thos tuches of light in the mouth and in the eyes, you turn down the ref info into a face that looks more tender and misterious, the ref has a more direct looking, nice!.

How do you get the lines to stay showing up when you draw? i can't seem to get the buggers to behave. xP they disappear under all the layers. x_x

Keep your line layer above all the other ones.
And if you're drawing on the background layer, don't
