I drew this picture around the time I discovered Blade of the Immortal, which is only - the - best manga ever conceived. I guess I subconsciously drew this as a tribute to Samura Hiroaki's work... hence this guy's resemblance to Manji and the rough line work. As a side note, I'm pretty happy with the way the background turned out.Related content

"Berserk" and "Vagabond"
They are both so incredibly good I can't decide which is my favorite, and they're easily the best drawn mangas in the world. The art alone is worth reading them for. Not to even mention the incredible stories!

No, I actually drew this years before ever knowing about Bleach. The one captain from Bleach had a flowery kimono, if I'm not mistaken... Although I totally see where you're coming form. ^^

this kinda reminds me a bit of the atmosphere in 'the last samurai', i love the soft colouring and the liquid folds in his clothes, also how you cant exactly see his features lends an anonymous feel to the piece, awesome

I've read all the volumes that have been released so far state side. I'm not sure what volume number it is, but it's called Trickster.

I went to Dark Horse page and found it, yeah we are a little bit ahead of you guys, that volume goes until chapter 105, we went until chapter 113! Lot's of crazed stuff in the way I assure you!

No doubt, it's all been pure awesomeness all the way through. The problem with Dark Horse is that they release these volumes 4-5 months apart. That's criminal.
