Some of you may know about Mapvember. It's a challenge to make one map, every day of november: thirty maps in thirty days. I'm joining in on the challenge and will see where it goes. Don't really know if I'll sit it out to the end, or maybe I'll skip a few days, but I'm going to try and make a map (and upload it here) every day. I hope to use it to practice speed, and some different styles.
So here's Mapvember 01. This one was actually very exciting, because I never got the chance (or took the time...) to draw a dungeon map. A whole while back I came across a style that I really liked and I thought Mapvember 01 would be a great opportunity to try it out. Took about 1 hour.

If I wasn't already committed to NaNoWriMo, I'd definitely want to give this a shot. Sounds like an awesome challenge
Looks like we have a nice little bandit camp here, all snug and secure in some sort of cave. If this is hand-drawn, what did you use for the cave shadows? Grey markers?

I didn't really realise there was a mapvember thing going on right now but I am also committed to NaNoWriMo. But I do have a scene coming up which involves a cave I want to draw a map of.

Nice! Do you write fantasy novels, then? Or are we talking about a cave in a more modern setting?

Thank you! This was made is Photoshop, though I only used a round brush for it, so it could easily be done with pens or markers.

Haha, well I kinda regretted my GLS name on the Guild, but when I joined I never expected to get so involved.
