Wow! That looks amazing. You did a great job with the water. The atmosphere is so dark and scary, but also impressive. Amazing!

Man, this is awesome! I love the way you've handled the water here, and the reflected glare of sickly green light from his baleful eyes. The phosphorescent "lures" around the head are a brilliant touch, as are the anomalocaris-like secondary tendrils depending from the facial barbels...Makes me want to get on paper some of the more exotic and natural-history-derived Star Spawn variants I've been kicking around.
Beautiful work...Fhtaghn!

Thanks! I had just read (well, audiobooked) Lovecraft's "Call of Cthulhu" and I knew I had to give it a try. It's a fun character to work with and expand upon.
You should totally bring those ideas to paper. The Old One commands it.

I suspect that in either event the close proximity of two beings of such awesome power would create an incredible electric/gravitational vortex which would suck both of them into it, fusing them into a single entity... CThuoru.

Fitting considering it was just announced that Guillermo del Toro and James Cameron will be making an adaptation of Lovecraft's "At the Mountains of Madness".
