Description
Oil on canvas. No real thought behind this one. More of an exercise in order to get back into oils after being away from it for a while. I wanted to add more details, but I really couldn't come up with anyting. Though I think that the title makes up for it.

Can I ask why the light is glistening in his eyes from different directions? And believe me I'm no art critic ;D

Maybe the light that is reflected in the eyes are actually the light that bouncing of from the lit "cheeks" right below the eyeballs? To me, this is less important than the overall look and the feel of the piece. The piece would not change in value or expression in any sort of way if the light were "correct". I mean, it's just a couple of dots of white.

Haha... Well, It is another one of those ambiguous paintings that I tend to do, where different expression-values kinda collide.
Thank YOU for commenting!

The eyes are great!
Oh also, do you ever go on reddit? If you submitted to reddit/r/art I'm sure you'd get a huge boost in views.

The front page of the internet. It's a great place. Unless you're an american republican christian hipster barista.

It's a huge site that shares things like news, funny pictures, art, stories, youtube clips, depending on subreddit. ( /r/art for example is a subreddit for art.) It's like 9gag or 4chan except it likes to pretend that it's completely different.
It's got millions of users anyway and I got like 60 000 views for a shitty comic a few days ago.

Ok, thanks! Any tips on how I should/could use it? How do I get started and what should be mindful of?

Well, reddit is pretty much based on "karma", or upvotes and downvotes. People will upvote things they like and download things they dislike, practically. Things that get a lot of upvotes will turn up on the frontpage, where more people will see it. So if you post something that people dislike, or in the wrong place, not a lot of people will see it at all.
There's not much more to it than that there are a lot of different subreddits, (you will probably want to post in r/art, which is here: [link] ). And when you post something you can always read the sidebar; the box to the right, then you'll know the rules. People who post original content are usually appericiated.
Finally, there are some phrases and thing reddit dislikes for not much reason more than that it's overused, and that's hard to recognize when you're new. They dislike when people put [first] in titels, they dislike [just a] in phrases, they dislike... well a lot. In r/arts you can just put the title of the art piece in the title!
