This is a fantastic piece of work! It has story to it which I find is lacking in most paintings... And I was totally amazed when I saw this was traditionally painted! Wow!

Lovely! I have to say, this seems almost symbolic to me. In fables, there's always the main character on a journey, a thread that connects every aspect and winds throughout the tale, and one major weakness that hinders the main character. But that's just my own interpretation- well done!

I love that the birds have an almost photo-realistic look, while the girl is more whimsically portrayed, it gives it a really nice collage feel. I like the element of the string and the way it connects everything together, and the lines of it winding through the branches is just really nice! I also really like how you've portrayed the girl with a less than "ideal" face, she's not traditionally beautiful as one might expect from the title. Great colors as well, the red of her cloak really pops, and the way it continues through the piece in the string looks really great as well!
