I could see this character in a horror game. A walking corpse whose head and mind have been completely consumed and mutated by bees who now control him. I'd call it Hivemind. Sorry if that's kinda weird haha, I'm not sure it was meant to be a horror character, but that idea went in my head right away. Great art nonetheless!

I think that if i had set out to do something more horror-like, iβd make more deformities and mutations, and made colors slightly duller and skipped playful patterns. In this one i went more for the cartoony and cute, but with a weird twist/tone.

Also a very poetic work.
It makes me think of some works by the French engraver Nicolas de Larmessin.
He made a series of 97 engravings representing characters of the time composed of tools and productions of their trades.
