I really feel like the tactile textures, which usually don't function for the whole in most peices, are really something that make this peice so effective. The skill you have with the economy of brush strokes is stunning.
However, I don't like the bow. It feels like it's much farther forward than the rest of the foreground. It might be the outlining. Or the lack of focus you have on the dark parts of the collar.
Regardless, this is sweet. And I agree with the DD critique, the title is essential.
