Acrylic on canvas, 2016.

My third acrylic piece using the same sort of color-scheme where i start off with a black-white underpainting and then color it in layers using a blue/turqoise midtone, yellow-ish highlights and red/purple/orange tones inside of the black/dark areas.
I kept having trouble moving forward, once i finished the grey-scale underpainting, because i was concerned about the risk of ruining all the work and finely polished details when I start coloring without a plan. By coming up with a locked-in color-scheme and a sort of code, I had less hesitation and a clearer direction. Though after three pieces I think I'm done with this.
