Well, Blender is a free software three-dimensional modeling, in the beginning he is a little tricky, but with time it proves to be an incredible software with many features and tools.

thats really cool!
I wanna get into the 3d modeling stuff
I took an 3dautoCAD course and really liked it awhile back.
been wanting to get into maya or 3dmax but those are EXPENSIVE!
Im gonna make sure my pc meet the specs and give it a go soon. thanks!

Thank you for your comment!
Yes, programs like Maya and Studio Max have a value of expensive licenses.
This is one reason I use Blender 3D and Sculptris Alpha 5, as they are free software with excellent resources and tools.
On the PC, it has to have good processing power and memory storage, this together with a good video card.

This is fantastic! I love the detail you put into this model, the cables, pipes and wires, it's astoishing! I'm not good with textures at all because I haven't seen a detailed enough tutorial on how to make textures from scratch. Seeing this you've made me feel better about my models and I hope to someday reach this level of skill. Thank you and well done. Don't listen to ~Darth. How did you get the lighting so uniform?

Thanks for comment , about lighting, I set it on the menu ambient occlusion in Blender 3D. I chose the option Ray Traced and changed the value to 10 Samples.

Complete lack of textures and poor shading kills apparently good model. Not good >8C

I agree with you about the shadows. I didn't put a good shadow effect, because the render would take a long time to be finalized. Regarding textures, my idea was to metallic model, so I didn't need to apply textures . Anyway thanks for the comment and criticism.

DarthBartus In reply to daniellf [2010-09-22 19:44:52 +0000 UTC]

I do not know if you know. I assumed so looking on poorly shaded, textureless, apparently good model. This one [link] (nota bene, not mine) looks metallic. Your render doesn't.

If you were a good observer, you would see that the blue/yellow parts reflect and that the shadow is behind the Blue Falcon. You could have said that the angle of the render is bad.

If model was properly shaded, such excuses wouldn't be necessary. In your case, render looks just FLAT.
