Description
Here's my version of the Hubcap piece.This is one of the Prizes that was included into the Hubcap color contest, Each of the three winners gets a free Hard card stock 11 by 17 print.
The second place winner got a print and a Hubcap toy.
and the first place winner got the Hubcap toy, print, and the original pencils for this piece signed by me.
in anycase, here's my version Lineart, and colors done by me in Photoshop 7.0
The contest had such a cool turn out that I'm pretty sure that there will be another one down the road soon.
This character comes from the Transformer series Machine Wars, A not so well known toy line.

The colors, obviously, are stunning. As usual.
On a slightly critical note, the lack of definition on the left (as we see it) edge of the stone wall he's backed up against, seems to almost make it seem disconnected from the main character. I realise the logic in not including a line there to separate bg and fg, but it stands out a bit too much imo. I also have some very, very slight issues with the perspective of the gun/hand and forearm. They seem just slightly off between themselves. But that's more a lineart quibble than anything else and I haven't been keeping up, of late.
Still awesome, though!
