Yep I'm still trying to become a penciler... Still trying.Here's a DRAWing by me and digitally painted by me.
Strider 2
One of the best games I ever played, next to earth worm jim that is. But I'm talking about the first game. Haven't played strider 2 yet... I never could find it.

Oh yeah... forgot to mention. Strider 2 isn't all that great on the PS1 but the cool thing about it is that it comes with the orginal game. I have to agree with you... Strider is one of the top games of all time.

You know I've never played the Strider games, but I do remember him from Marvel vs Capcom. I like your line art, colors and attention to detail. Keep up the good work!

Play it! The first is one of my favorite old games. All the stages are very well layed out. There's a level where you go through a flying ship, from front to back. You really do go through the whole ship.
No repeating backgrounds.

Nice! Strider rocks. I've played both; the first was better if I remember correctly. 1 and 2 were switched around or something so 2 is really 1 and 1 is really 2... so the first game, or in actuality, second, was better than the first, even though it was the first one to come out... o.o Either that or the cd's that I got were remakes and were switched, or something....

scratch off draw. There are a ton of glitches in that strider piece. The hands are bigger then the head. the spine and legs don't really connect. the hairs needs more work, the sword doesn't look like it has an extra handle where he's holding it. The ear is to big... etc etc. I got many great critiques on that one.
Believe me I may have gotten down most of the color thing, but I still have quite a way to go, in both aspects.

i mean .. Dan, comon look at e.g. MAD!s pics --- if you count your "mistakes" then what about his? ... in my opinion there are 2 ways: a) to become an reality-style-artist or b) to become a comic artist ... thatΒ΄s the cool thing about b) (in which category i count your art in) that you can totally overexaggerate proportions as long as they look cool! and yours definitely do!

Yup Stider Hiryu is a kick as Ninja (but perfers Hayabusa better than anyone else) LOL
This is a tight kick ass pic. The colors r way amazing and the pose is dynamic as well. This piece has no flaws whatsoever. It deserves a +fav from a Ninja fan like me.

i like strider as much as anyone but in MVC2 he's really annoying to use and even more easier to beat. he needs something more affective than that whole super attack where all those robotic animals attack the opponent. awesome pose n' beautiful colors as always man. i especially like the blade, very nice.

I really like this. I believe you got that from everyone else. Though for the dramatic effect it's understood, if he was actually doing this right now, he'd fall over.

wow man, you've really improved at pencilling! i love the way you did the muscles of the arm--reminds me a bit of some of the capcom designers(who are freaking great). also, you did a great job with the perspective and foreshortening. as usual, the colors kick ass i only have two crits: 1. his left hand looks a bit odd. like its a little too elongated. 2. the "wraps" on his leg look a bit flat to me. i think they should curve a little bit more with his leg. other than that though, very very nice.
