You look amazing! It's my dream to learn tissu and hoop at circus school, it's so sad, I don't have any in my country. :[ But not gonna give up- I'am going to England a few years later and hope, I'l get as good as you (i saw your video of performance with hoop and it was great! (: )

But seriously, folks... how is that pronounced? Is it all foreign-sounding like "Tie-Sue" or is it like over-pronouncing "tissue," i.e. "tiss-you."

just like tissue. it can also be referred to as "aerial silks" or "aerial fabric".

I'm taking classes down in Escondido at Trapeze High - they're (obviously) more trapeze focused, but they do have an instructor who's thing is tissu, so he's happy to teach
And we can play when I'm not quite so clutzy and out of shape - give me a few weeks!
(Is it bad that I really want to hang some fabric off the tree outside my house and go play?)

oooohhhh.... wanna have a joint model/photographer flying circus type shoot day?! we can take turns taking photos of each other!
I've got a couple of other flyin' friends that would probably come along and model as well, if you want to make a whole day of it.
oh, and to the last question, no that's not bad. that just means that you've been exposed to the crack that is aerial acrobatics. I cannot go ANYWHERE anymore without climbing things. seriously, I did chair tricks at a wedding recently (it was a burner wedding, so maybe it doesn't really count... but still, it sounds funny).

By tomorrow do you mean Wednesday? Depends on what time... I would love to, but I have to meet with a model at 5:30 this evening. And yey drop.. I don't know that it means anything that I did it so fast, but it was hella fun.
I did a star drop on net, not quite up to it on tissu yet, but getting there!
And I am utterly and completely down for a photo day. A Saturday or Sunday would be really nice, not sure if we could find any where indoors that wouldn't mind a bunch of crazy circus people...
And yes. You're coming with us next year! It was an amazing experience. And there are lots and lots of circus people. Everywhere. And cool circus bikes! And giant swings! Nom!!

Ha- what's awesome is I managed to get my dates messed up, and I'm meeting with my model -next- Wednesday. I suck. So, I can't make it next week either, but I would love to come out the week after and play

And hell yes for burner weddings. You should come with us this year!! They had a group flying in a huge dome while deranged DJ's played around them. It was awesome.

we have to plan out the photo day. hmmm... time and location should be figured out. it would be nice if we could find somewhere indoors to rig up the tissu. I could bring the hoop as well. but we could always use a tree in a park if we had to.
and yes to burning man! I've never been, and the more people that I meet that go, the more wrong that seems. I mean, really, circus people EVERYWHERE! and dood, I'm totally a circus people now! that's such an exiting realization for me!
