Description
The beast that is Sycorax. I didn't come up with the name, only the the rough concept. Todd Casey was the one who really locked onto what made the story work with Mumm-Ra transforming into a creature. Fun episode overall!Related content

Awesome! The color choice is really nice and earthy. All the details on the top of the creature make's it more scary.Really cool!

This is what we get if Thundercats and Godzilla crossed over.

Mumm-ra puts all his effort into a big game-changing scheme like shoving his soul into a giant monster's body, and then most of the episode is centered around a comic relief character. Then Godzilla parody.
That episode had a very 80's feel to it all around, come to think of it....
The spindly arms, hunched posture and beergut make it look a lot less dinosaurian than the design the ultimately went with. Not sure which I prefer, really. I like how this design makes it seem more like a totally independent creature, like a true demonic horror. But the idea of a boneheaded, demonic T.rex is pretty hard to resist too...
I think the face is my favorite part. It has a sort of challenging grin built into it.

I'd want to keep that in my backyard XD
Sycorax just makes me think of Kingdom Hearts II....
It'd make a great Heartless.

Sycorax is named after the mother of Caliban from The Tempest, correct?

In this episode in the minute 00:07:40, when Leon-O is fighting with sycorax; you used a part of old Thundercats' intro!! That was for any reason, Or just to honor old thundercats?
PD: Sorry about my english...

Epic monster! I loved it. Reminded me a bit of the cancelled Primal Rage villain Necrosan.

I liked the design of this one, too bad he's gone now. Mumm-Ra could have used him as a pet...or as a mount.

The second I saw the name, I instantly thought about the alien from Doctor Who.

this episode reminded me of the old series, where mum-ra would have a different scheme in every episode, and the thunder cats would have to think of new and creative ways to stop him.
made me very nostalgic.

Loved this episode. And the Mothra vs Godzilla bit at the end was icing on the cake.

I think the name is a Shakespeare reference... or it could be a Doctor Who reference... Either way great job on the design

When I saw the name, I thought of it being the name of Caliban's mother.

Fun episode it was, but I can't help thinking it was a little inspired from a certain Japanese monster film, especially at the end. But I'm not complaining.
