This is why I hate working in color... I butcher beautiful people when I work in color.
The tattoos are not remotely accurate, I resorted to scribbles 'cause I couldn't find a decent referance and didn't feel look looking that hard for one.

This picture of Miyavi is just simply beautiful. When I was google searching pictures of Miyavi, this picture came up and I thought it was a real photo. I must say that it... Well, a picture is worth 1,000 words. But this one is worth more than that. Wait, words can't even explain the greatness of this picture.

the tattoos look fine to me. I spent all of the merry two days of Halloween drawing them on myself with sharpies, so I should know ^^
the worst part is, I'm gonna put myself through it again. beautiful picture, and it has his wonderfully unique attitude all through it.

Tis a great piece! It's almost like a mix between cell shading and soft colour. There's a wonderful interplay going on between the light and shadow in this picture especially across the subject's face. I also like the way the hair is shaded in a 2 dimensional manner, but appears 3 dimensional because of the level of detail in the silhouette.
