Description
-Reposting this. I did this last fall specifically as a portfolio piece before i realized that the sheer vertical layout was kind of gimmicky and the anime juxtaposition was a little jarring along with some other problems. And-more significantly- when i tried to print it out for my portfolio, it lacked any kind of visual impact at all...which was the point for doing it in the first place. So in my mind it was a fail and that's okay. Learn from it, move on, etc.Anyway, I had in mind to redo this and, upon looking it over, realized that it wasn't as terrible as I had initially thought and even with all it's problems, I think it almost captures my original intention for it. As far as the anime girl...I added her last minute as I was drawing the piece. I'm a little obsessed with Kinu Nishimura's artwork for the first Capcom vs. SNK game and I was trying to replicate that.

Where's all the bullet casings coming from?
My mind's tellin me they're spilling from the robots, but my heart's saying "Nah, bro, he has a gun sword so he can shoot while he cuts!"
Help, I have to know

i think the format is a little odd for an 11x17 portfolio(even with some major cropping) but glad you like it!
