That isn't the real Dorothy Gale, the one from the books is much younger, has blue eyes and blonde hair.

It's a while after each of their adventures. They've had a little trouble adjusting. And when you can step through a mirror to acquire potions that make one large or small. Or fly. Or have some magic shoes...

In the Oz book series Dorothy, Aunt Em, and Uncle Henry move to Oz perminately in the 4th book.
