You can't put them in the trap, they're animatronics!

Then,if you put the ghost in,the animatronic is still gonna stay.

Well, with or without Ghost, they could still just run for it and call in Slimemr to jam their systems.

Ghostbusting the animatronics is only half the problem with that Pizzaria.

That's another one for my wish list - back up stories bridging Ghostbusters: The Video Game to the IDWverse (aka more Rookie).

THIS IS AWESOME and totally how a Ghostbuster would handle that mess. Β It's a good scare; my BF was playing it and my roommate screeched like Witch Hazel. Β It was amazing.

LOL, it's a great example of simple design, while letting the player use their imagination to fill in the horrifying blanks Thanks Jen!

Ahg that games the worst, I wasn't even the one playing it and I was peeing my pants XD.
Though if you think about it to much it doesn't make any sense; Why take the job? Why do they have limited power on the doors rather than regular none powered locking doors? what's the point in security cameras if they run out of power? Why are they keeping the robots if they keep killing people? How have the not been sued into bankruptcy? why don't they just change the robots rules so they don't think they have to shove things into animatronic suites?
Fecking scary game but how they are sued to hell by health and safety I do not know .

Here's my take: Most fictional plots thrive on some kind of logic failure, because if they thought of the backups and failsafes (or had access to them) that we had, there'd be no plot, no drama, no danger. We need them to be a bit dense for the plot to ensue at all. (Also, if Rookie is in 5Nf, is he game jumping? Did he "go Turbo"?)
Also, Dan, I love your work. I kind of giggled in glee when I saw this.

Midsea In reply to BMLulu [2014-09-09 16:13:06 +0000 UTC]
Ei yes but logic fails in reality too some times (especially when people are involved) so it becomes more bizarre the less realistic the failures are in the setting your given.
But yeah people don;t play this game looking for logic.
Look I'm not picking on the game, it's a well made game ( though yeah I kinda hate it on how much it freaks me out but hey that just means they did a good job on hitting my buttons.). I simply find it funny how easy situation could be to avoid. And honestly I like the plot flaws they are somewhat comforting, if it was a more realistic situation it would be hella scarier and frankly the game is creepy enough. So I'm acturlly glad they are there.
I was just light heartedly pointing some out, I wasn't trying to start a debate or digging at the game.
( Pifft, if he did go turbo I'd say he picked a bad game to jump too.)

Well thank you friend! By good golly! Here I was genuinely, in no doubt, thinking it was some kind of interactive documentary do hicky!
Finally I can see the light! Finally one can sleep at night again knowing the titatium laws of health and safety are still being met.
How dare I openly feeltingly muse about a game's world logic. Bad Midsea .

That's what I've been saying the whole time. Minimum wage is not worth all this, call Ghostbusters and quit while you still have your dignity. And intestines.

Not a bad strip, clever idea.
How to really speed run five nights at Freddy's. Keep your eyes on Foxy and Freddy while checking the doors since Bonni and Chica give you warning with the door lights you don't need to watch them on camera.

Actually, they are possessed by the ghosts of dead children who were murdered and stuffed into the animatronic dolls

There is something paranormal going on in the Fazbear's Pizza, yes, but does that prove that it was the five children haunting there? No, theory is theory.

Yeshuash In reply to NapalmKrillos [2014-09-03 17:33:56 +0000 UTC]
THE FREAKING CREATOR OF THE GAME STATED THAT IT"S A HAUNTING!!!!!
Is it really that difficult to understand?

aftertaster7 In reply to Yeshuash [2014-09-03 18:22:35 +0000 UTC]
He's not disagreeing that it's haunted, he's just suggesting that maybe the place was possessed BEFORE the children where killed by the animatronics. Y'know, that they aren't the trigger for it, but just collateral.

ViktorMatiesen In reply to NapalmKrillos [2014-09-03 10:29:08 +0000 UTC]
Actually it is a part of the lore of the game

That five children died in the past is a true lore, yes, but them haunting the animatronics is a theory.
