Description
Still frame composition from Megalo II's animation! It doesnt have every detail that was added in the animation, but I loved the painting I did for this one. If you havent seen the animation, you can check it out here! I'll have the draw it again meme version of this up soonish. I also wanted a still version up since this is the best version of Faulkner I have drawn so far._________________________________________

My goodness, man! You are pure talented! I am so envious of your skills! Look at the different colours that blend together, along with the tiny details and the blur effects! I am just pure mind-blowing! Faulkner looks so terrific as well! Such a serious scene that is going on!

I'm a big fan of the color palette you used for this. Normally I shy away from using a lot of saturated hues like this, but you wrangled them all together beautifully. Makes me want to try my hand at such a palette.

Just to let you know that I got to your gallery, and then to this deviation via some recommendations and browsing through Freedom Planet 2's Twitter feed.
I can see the appeal behind the character design, color, lighting and composition and themes you use in your works (I did see the Flash animation related to this piece you uploaded, but I found the static artwork easier to appreciate than the multimedia used in the animatic, because it's easier to appreciate the details and get to know what's going on).
It's also interesting to see how lineless art can create a visual appeal, something that I am also attempting to learn on my own.
What are some of your influences you use here? (I can tell it's mostly sci-fi related.)

As far as inspiration for this, it was a redraw from an old piece so mostly that. However, I am very inspired by colorful sci-fi interpretations rather than gritty. I think color is one of the best ways to imply character and environment in a scene or in a concept. This was also really inspired by titanfall 2 for this as I do like the action of it. However I did want to make a mech that was atypical of the normal super-claustrophobic cockpit so i designed alot of this one after a sportscar interior while maintaining a bit of the roughness of military vehicles. I also wanted more of a view outside to help draw the person into the fight itself, rather than just one character.
I do alot of painting based of mmo and moba art, and some day I do want to do art for a game of that nature
