When Akumu's parents were killed by 309 Giarus' deadly experiments, the ATaSOS collective didn't know what to do with the Voidwing child that their traitor had orphaned at first. It was then a Void Mesmer Moth by the name of Kalise offered to take Akumu in and become her adoptive mother, which of course happened, and due to Kalise's therapist skills, Akumu turned out right in the long run. After Akumu became of age, both of them moved from the Void to dimension AO-77's Earth, where they lived happily ever since, (Up until the war with the Starblight, but that's a story for another time).
