That is really lovely. Horses are such beautiful, powerful animals. You did an excellent job capturing those qualities.

Ультрамарин после сканера выдал такой оттенок %)
Таким он мне больше нравится, чем чистый ультрамарин.

I love all the blue, but my favourite part is the fine detail in the grass, and the light reflecting off the mane.

I love how you used one color for everything. I especially admire the trees in the background, though to be honest there is quite a lot of good in this painting!

Lovely! Where do you find the inspiration?
Are you enjoying the cold weather?! I'd love to go to a cold city in winter, it'd be fun to feel the chills and thrills for once. Here in the tropic everything is the same..

Oh, yes, I do like winter, cold, and snow! Last three years we hda winters poor with snow - I missed it - and now I enjoy the massive amount of snow that fell upon my city.
I think that was the inspiration to my work

This is really beautiful, Dapplehack I love the silhouetted trees, that type of stylization is such a wonderful technique. I was reading a great article last night that talked about that. I'll be writing a Blog entry about it this week. The colours are great, the contrast of warm and cool. My favoutate is the contrast of edges. I've been studying that lately and I really enjoy the use and moderation of varying degrees of contrast. Contrast of edge, line weight, value, colour, simple versus detailed areas. very nice. The horse's head is nice and sharp, while everything else is relatively soft, making me focus on the head, but then my eye travels all around. There are a plethora of nice areas to look at. I really get stuck in the trees
The areas of rim lighting on the horse are really nice, too.

Whoa, thanks a lot for such a detailed comment!
I'm afraid I over-used ultramarine here - but still it was a plesant experience - making a very white picture..

It turned out nicely, I think. I like to give comments like that every now and again. I've been doing it a lot more lately, tho. I feel like it's more helpful to people than just saying "It's good." I'd like people to do the same for me, explain why they don't like it, or do like it.
