Description
Another quick one in the Retro series, this time is Miss Super Boobies herself, Karen Starr.I'm sure most people know her story, so no explaining there. I haven't read the new Powergirl/Huntress comic, so I don't know how tongue-in-cheek it is. That's what I liked about her comic, nothing is taken seriously.
Why the old anime style? Well, because it was a warmup for something awesome. I know I have tried to tone down you know, things, over this year. But what the hey this time. This is as "risque" as it's going to get around here heh.

Would be cool if she had a Farrah Fawcett style Hairstyle.

Ah, it's retro because most elements are based on the 70s version rather than than the one that just disapeared.

Sexy work ere good sir, but no the new series isn't very tongue-in-cheek..... In fact none of the New 52 are really 'fun'

I figured. I can understand Bats and other heroes being serious since it's at their core, but not heroes like Captain Marvel and Power Girl. I doubt anyone would buy a dramatic Deadpool comic.

Well DC seems to think that it's 1990 again.

Looks great!
And since you mention it, I think Peej is definitely still tongue-in-cheek in Worlds' Finest, but in a slightly different way. Like, in pretty much every story so far her costume's been shredded, that kinda thing.

They do have that something that's lost on modern times.

Personally I don't see anything wrong with doing it up old school style. It's nice to see a bit of that in this day and age.

You're right. I've just been trying to stick to a set style, but I'm finding it difficult since I get bored easily.

Experimentation is part of growth. I work with all these different things and try to build it into a certain style I can be proud of. I think working with different styles not only makes you diverse, but capable of understanding the nuances of what makes a style.

Yeah, it's great to pick out the best out of each style. Knowing a bit about photography and 3D sculpturing help a lot too, but I'm not going to post that to save everyone's eyes haha. I just can't paint everything I do, so cel shade and comic style are always great alternatives for time.

Ah, well, I practice speedpaints a lot from what you can probably already tell. It's a long painful process, and I'm still working on it. The name of the game is practice right? we'll just have to wait it out til we get loads better.

I like to think eventually this will be her current look once more rather than retro, once DC get over their "movie costume/armour" designs phase.

Most of the new costumes are just not as iconic, and unnecessarily convoluted. And judging by every single character going into darker and edgier territory, it looks like we're getting into a second Dark Age of comics.
