Another of my funky elemental dragon beasties, this one is the "god" of absorption/hunger. This is by far one of the stranger designs I have.

For a bit of explanation:

This guy is big, and hungry all the time. Unlike my other absorption elemental this one does not take on the abilities of those it consumes, just their raw power.

The eyes are small and he does not see very well, instead functioning more by hearing and scent. This works out since he mainly lives in a cave and is fed by servants. Begrierig hangs from the ceiling of the cave by his long tail and wing arms. The rear legs are far weaker than the arms and are mainly used to support the enormous gut. Begrierig can move around on the ground albeit in a limited akward fashion, he travels much better climbing around in his cave. It is rumored that he used to have a pair of front limbs at one time but ate them off in a fit of hunger.

His mouth is not designed to chew food. He merely grabs food and swallows it whole or in large chunks. Like a snake the jaw can expand as needed. The horns on the side of the mouth can also spread to allow larger food.

The gut itself is interesting. Begrierig has the bare minimum of flesh and muscle on his body (well for a magical being) As such his skeleton is visible, mainly the spine on his back, and the bone-like "ribs" on his gut are rings of cartilage and ligaments that hold and help to digest vast quantities of food. Needless to say he possesses a very strange digestive system for his body is mainly one giant stomach.

If i ever get around to it I have a huge picture planned of Corvain's pack battling this guy at the mouth of his cave. Dunno when that will ever happen though.

I wanted his design to reflect that he is both fat and thin if that makes sense. Thus the huge gut and skeletal look.
