“Where’s Link?” Riju asked, immediately noticing that Emma had the Master Sword with her.Emma raised an eyebrow. “I’m fine, thanks for asking.” She replied.
“Sorry.” The Gerudo Chieftess said quickly, leaning forwards now. “From your statement, am I to take it that you have just gotten back from infiltrating the Yiga Clan Hideout again?”
“Correct.” Emma nodded. “The mission was a success.” She hoped that Riju wouldn’t ask what the objective of the mission had been. Wanting to practice making Zelda’s favourite meal - Fruitcake - so that you didn’t forget how to make it by the time she got back from who knows where was one thing. Getting the final ingredient - Mighty Bananas - from a known enemy hideout was another thing altogether.
Luckily, Riju’s mind was on other things. “So then where is Link?” She asked again.
Emma sighed. There was no point in trying to hide it anymore. “Link is in prison.” She responded. “Your one.” She added quickly, when Riju jumped.
“Wh-what? Why?” She wanted to know.
“He forgot to take off his Yiga Clan disguise when we came back here.”
“ . . . ”
“So, anyway! How have you been? How’s Patricia?”
Link waited until Katta had her back turned, before he activated his powers.
“And now to Ascend my way to safety.” He muttered, resisting the urge to add: ‘Ha ha!’.
He just focused on the ceiling above him, and on the fact that nobody was in the ‘Voe And You’ classroom.
“Ha — !”
“Hey, wait a minute!” Hissed an urgent voice from the other side of the tiny jail cell.
Wabbin’s still in here? Link thought, as he lowered his arm and the green swirls lingered around him as if to say: ‘are we going now, or not?’
Link couldn’t help but feel sorry for this man who had been jailed only because he had wanted to see his young daughter again.
He wished his reasons for ending up in here were as noble as that.
“Okay, I know it’s none of my business,” Wabbin said nervously. He cast a quick glance towards the cell door. “But … before you … umm … fly up through the ceiling just like last time … umm … you’re still wearing the Yiga Clan clothes, so … umm … yeah . . . ?”
Link groaned. “Yeah, I’ll just have to wait for my friend … thanks . . . ”
“Don’t mention it.”
